I do a lot of fundraising at my full time job and have come up with some quick easy tips for you so you can duplicate them.

First thing you will have to do is come up with a donation letter. This letter should be addressed properly to who you are going to give/mail it to. It should also give a description of what your non-profit agency does (ex: church youth group, psychosocial rehabilitation program for mentally ill adults/children, boy/girl scout group). Your last paragraph of this letter should explain the type of donations you are looking for.

1) Chinese Auction - in your letter ask for gift cards/gift baskets. Charge .25/ticket & 5/$4.00 (tickets are available at Party City)

2) 50/50 raffle - charge one set price for a ticket and then split the profit of this with the winner of the raffle. If you raised $500 you would keep The Dark Knight Curse and give $250 to the winner. (tickets are available at Party City)

3) Spaghetti Dinner - in your letter you should ask for spaghetti, sauce, parmesan cheese, bread sticks, salad items. Charge $5.00 for all you can eat. Spaghetti is filling and therefor most people will only eat one plate.

4) All you can eat breakfast - you letter should be requesting eggs, pancake mix, breakfast sausage, bacon, juice, and milk. This is also a filling meal and so you can charge $5.00

5) Bake sale - donation letter should be asking for cake and brownie mixes, pie shells, frosting, sugar, flour, etc. Charge a reasonable amount for your baked goods.

6) Basket Bingo - This donation letter should be asking for anything they would be willing to donate. Your target area to hit with this donation letter would be your street stores (mom and pop stores everyone knows in your neighborhood), mall stores, the mall customer service station.

7) Car Wash - you should first find a location to do this. The best place I have found is a place called Auto Zone. They donate to us the hose and all the water. We bring the cleaning supplies (get them donated from local stores that know your organization). They also allow you to set up a table to sell baked goods/sodas at.

Remember that the more you get donated the more money you will make.
